I am very interested in wireless technology!
Bluetooth is all the rage for wireless connectivity between handheld devices (phones, PDA, headsets, etc.) these days, and for very good reason!
I have a Bluetooth enabled Cell Phone soon (Nokia 6600), which also includes a built in camera and color screen. I have a Jabra BT250 Bluetooth headset I use when I need to move around or am out and about with my phone. I could never go back to using a wired headset again! I hate being tethered to devices by wires and seem to continually get caught up and tangled in them.
I have two Logitech cordless trackballs and one Logitech cordless keyboard at present and am planning to get a cordless keyboard for my other system as soon as I can.
I have worked with wireless networking, and will again very soon. However, I don't really have a use for wireless networking right now since I only have two computers and neither is a laptop. Since both computers are within easy reach of my wired router, I just can't justify going with wireless right now.
I plan to get a PDA, probably a Palm Tungston C with integrated Wi-Fi, and add a bluetooth SDIO card to it so it can communicate with my Cell Phone (Nokia 6600). I may get a Palm T|X instead though, since it already has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in, which would not require getting a Bluetooth adapter. In either case, I'd be able to access the internet at home within range of my Wi-Fi router or via my Cell Phone when I am out and about, using the phone as a modem.
I am a firm believer in using technology to enhance one's life, rather than technology just for the sake of itself. If technology doesn't enhance one's life or bring new and useful capability to you, what real good is it?
